Sukaira Gure is the daughter of the owner of a major restaurant chain. Her twin brother, Kamiko, is sent to Ouran High School to continue his education, while Sukaira was to continue her education through private tutors. Determined to be seen as her brother's equal, Sukaira applies for a scholarship to Ouran, disguises herself as a boy, and befriends the other scholarship student: commoner Haruhi Fujioka. Somewhere along the way, she discovers that she has a gift, one that she shares with Haruhi. Along with being shocked by a new gift, the two stumble upon the Host Club and Haruhi breaks a vase worth 8 million yen.
