Olivia is sick of everyone constantly pestering her about how she should start dating her friend Trevor. One day when Trevor offers her to fake date to get everyone off of their backs, without too much thinking about it she agrees. This would be fun... Right?

Soon she learns that maybe fake dating wasn't the best option. The thought of her friends never talking to her again if they found out the whole thing was a set up terrifies her more than anything else, and the disappointment her parents would feel would absolutely crush her.

The only way to avoid anyone finding out that she's not really dating Trevor is to carry on with the plan and see where it goes. Problem solved. But another one arises... Olivia starts having feelings for Trevor and when she realises what those feelings are ultimately Olivia will have to find the answer to the question that's bothering her;

Does she still want to pretend?

Meet Avril. Two years after her parents' death and she's still struggling with her emotions towards them. When Dallas shows up at her school, Avril hates him. She immediately points out how obvious it is that he's self conceited. Her friends, however, are quick to point out that there's a thin line between love and hate. So what happens when Dallas is suddenly thrown into her life? What happens when Avril ends up spilling her life story to him and then kisses him? And this does happen more than once. Boyfriends, brothers, friends, feelings, and high school. What could go wrong?
