Rosemary Elizabeth Vale. A 16-year old artistic introvert diagnosed with leukemia at a young age, who feels like she is useless to the world, but still tries to come out of her shell and enjoy her life before it comes to an end.
Benjamin Hayes Grier. A 17 year-old rebellious teen who has a rare form of lung cancer. Even though he's sick, it isn't stopping him from doing what he sets his mind to.
Neither of them know about the other's existence, until one faithful day.
Both of their families encourage them to join their local cancer support group, along with several other teens there age that have also experienced the same struggles that they have.
They meet each other, and grow closer and closer, and eventually are inseparable. Hayes teaches Rosemary to get out of her comfort zone and try new things, and she shows him how beautiful the world really is.
One day, Hayes gets some horrible news, and is debating whether or not to tell Rosemary, afraid of how she will react and how it'll effect both of their lives.
Will Hayes tell Rosemary the truth, or will he keep his secret hidden away?
Maybe they both will realize that the phrase "Time flies when you're having fun" is sadly, very true.
