Ted Du'card is a detective living in Eugene Oregon. He has been working on a case that is leaving a pile a burnt up bodies across the city. At first there was no connection in the victims but Ted may have something in the appearance of a well dressed man that seems to be following him around. However when Ted tries to think of his stalker all he can remember is a carnation in the man's lapel. Begging Ted to ask, who is this dashing stranger, and what is his connection to the crimes? And who will be the killer's next target?
