The day humans came into existence, good and bad flourished with it. Thousands of years to now Ellis experiences strange events a month away her thirteenth birthday. She drags herself into a world within reality but not known to it. She learns that she is a person who was given a blessed soul to protect humanity from people with cursed souls. Issues arise when a plague happens to wipe out the people she's like. She'll have to join a group of people her age, called the A.L.M.A.E. Unit, to help one cold case at a time
