When Damon was 18 he decided to join the forces, more specifically the Marines; following in his grandfather's footsteps. He had only one week after basic training to see his family before being deployed to Iraq for 4 years. So they decided to spend his last week together and before his deployment; they wind up sleeping together. Resulting in her becoming pregnant. As a group of Stray Humans, they've made the decaying cities their home, roaming the forgotten streets, never staying in one place for long, and bringing all their skills to the table. They are a family, working together to make sure those things, Aliens, never take another human as long as they are near. When the aliens of A.C.R. (Animal Care and Rescue) find a new group of humans wandering the ruins of a large city, they think it will be an easy capture. But they soon learn that these particular humans have more willpower than most. They dodge every trap, disappear around every bend, and even manage to take some of the already captured humans with them. The aliens pity these "little creatures"-they just don't want to leave their home, but Earth is falling apart at the seams, and they are determined to take the stubborn little humans to the safety of one of the mother planets. No matter the cost.
