Ever since the plague hit a fifty or so years ago, millions of people have been victem to the wretched disease. Humans have his from them, cowering in fear of the horrible beasts. Others formed groups to slay these wretched creatures. 'Don't go outside' mothers tell their children. 'Aim for the heart' men instruct the young boys when equipped with a gun. But there was one rule that all people have to abide by. 'Never, ever, let them catch your scent. Because if they do, you just might be mate to one of the wolves. Death is more favorable that being their mate.' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alexandra Hayse is part of a little town in Alaska. Her father is commander of all the Werewolf Hunters, a group that was formed to take down the werewolves that are roaming around, free as they please, while humans have to hide. Alexandra oh so desperately wants to be a Hunter. When a sneaky mission out onto the field goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself in a situation where death is the better option: she is mate to an alpha wolf.
