"Why not, sir?" The boys eyes shined with curiosity. Something not common in this town.
"Boy, you're testing yourself. Asking all them questions." He grumbled.
"I'm just a lil' curious, sir." He paused. "Ain't no harm in questions."
The old man looked away. "There's harm in these questions, boy" He spit out some of the tobacco he's been chewing on for days now. "Being curious will get you killed in these parts. Curiosity killed the cat you know." And then the old man walked away, leaving the boy wondering even more.
