Our beloved Monsters live at the surface for almost a year now. As Christmas time begins, they are all overwhelmed by the festivity and happiness this time of the year brings to everyone. And monsters realize: it's been a long time since they celebrated a family festival under the stars. This is basically a small collection of one-shots that play in the same universe. (Y/N) is an artist. An extraordinary one to say the least. She is quickly climbing her way up the ranks. And who knows, one day she may even become famous. But something is preventing her from reaching her goal. It isn't anything about her art style, or her coloring skills, or even what she prefers to draw. No, this girl is half human, half skeleton. Yes, and most humans strongly dislike the monsters. The ones that don't strongly dislike them don't care, and they are the ones that buy (Y/N)'s art. And the monsters themselves, of course. Since she was little, she was hoping so very much to be able to take a trip to the Underground to meet some monsters, especially Mettaton, who was rumored to be the most popular monster in the entire Underground. She has finally saved enough money to buy a car, but... someone beat her to it. A little kid named Frisk has set them all free, and they have been roaming around for two years now. Sans the skeleton is a resident of Snowdin in the Underground, and life as he knows is mostly alright. He had his optimistic, egotistical brother, Papyrus, his mysterious friend in the RUINs, Grillby, the bartender at his favorite place to stay, and many other buddies and acquaintances he'd made over time. But one day, when the friend from the RUINs makes a strange request of Sans, he couldn't help but give her his word and make a promise. However... When he sees the subject of his promise exit the RUINs- A strange, wayward, dust-covered human- Sans questioned whether he'd be able to stay true to his word. (Feel free to leave suggestions for other stories you'd like me to write in the comments! None of the art featured here is mine.) UPDATE: Uh, so, my headcanons have changed quite a bit from when I wrote this, including Sans' attitude at some points, the Mettaton NEO situation, the Alphys evacuation, and other things.
