"Will you all just get realistic?" You know those sappy love stories where a girl goes to her favorite coffee shop to get her favorite drink and she ends up tripping and spilling it all over a guy? You know how their eyes meet and whoever is writing the story makes a huge deal out of it? They call it 'love at first sight' or some shit? Yeah, that's not this story. Kristen Avery never liked love stories. She never enjoyed romance movies. She never understood those people who were in love with anything related to love. Maybe it was because her parents were divorced when she was fifteen. Maybe it was because all of her friends were tragically single after an unfortunate break up. Nevertheless, the last thing she wanted was to be the next love story. Jake was the king of sappy. Any girl in the world would kill to spend five minutes in his spotlight. He could get any girl, other than Kristen. When they both get the lead in the school play and are forced to spend hours upon hours together, you could see Kristen's struggle. So, why is Jake still following her around like a lost puppy after the play ends? Why is he still trying to talk to her and hold her books? And why isn't Kristen stopping him?
