That was why Everett University was the perfect place for him to play hockey. The team may have been Division 1, but the majority of its students forgot the team existed. The team is entering its thirteenth straight season without a single win. They're dead last in the New England Conference and just about dead last in Division 1 programs across the country. It is the perfect place for Jake. He gets money for his education and he gets to play hockey without living with the same issues he dealt with back home. Life is good. Until the team wins their first game of the season because of him. He really didn't mean to score one goal against the best team in the conference, let alone rack up a hat trick in his first collegiate game.
