At one time, there were two species: Izelyns and Humans. The two lived in their own worlds, perfectly happy with their lives. But there was one person who was able to go through both worlds, Katana. All their life, they protected both worlds and fought monsters who dared disturb the peace. But when a portal suddenly opens (throwing both worlds into chaos), Katana is forced to team up with mythical beings and humans to take down the source that is causing the destruction of mankind. And they just might discover that not everything is what it seems.

But then, Eridan's father disapproves of their friendship and does something horrible. Sollux then finds Eridan with tons of cuts and bruises all over him, on the beach and helps him out. He does all of this while keeping him secret from everyone else except for his best friend, Karkat. After some time, he realizes that he can't stay on land if he wants to keep Eridan safe. Sollux will have to choose whether to stay on land and look for a different way to help him, or to become a merman himself and live in the water for the rest of his life. Chapters update at the start of every month, with chapters that are from 1500 words up to 3000. Of course, this story is not professional and this can be mainly seen at the start of the story, although it can also happen in newer chapters. Its all to have fun, so mistakes happen!!!!!
