Melanie Briar might have just been a regular Pokémon Trainer. At seventeen, she sets out on an adventure of her own across Hoenn, her ultimate aim being to conquer the Pokémon League and become the new Champion of the region. Yet her reasons were much more personal - to win back the honor of her family.

The Legendary Rayquaza, Protector of Hoenn, can be described as bossy, narcissistic and proud, yet exceedingly loyal to the region. Be as it may, everyone gets tired and needs a break - more so for the immortal Pokémon whose duties had never been forgotten for millennia.

Upon a twist of fate, the two, human and Pokémon, become unlikely partners and form a bond like no other. But when calamity lands itself on Hoenn and challenges and conflict at every corner, will the duo work together to prevail? Or would they be forced to go their separate ways?

This is a story about bonds - family ties, bonds of duties, of the past, of love and, above all, of friendship.
