Things don't always go smoothly when you come out to your family and friends. Whether it's coming out as gay or trans or anything in between. For Cassandra Mitchell, now Jace, it's a bit of both. When he comes out as transexual to his parents, they don't react well, so he runs away from home. And since he still likes boys, he sort of coming out as gay at the same time.
Luckily, his best friend, Xandra, and her family accept him and let him stay with them. Starting fresh, at a new school, Jace is determined not to let anyone find out that he was born a female before he can get surgery (which won't be till well after high school).
But when Jace starts dating one of the popular guys in school, how's he gonna react when he finds out? Will Jace get outed? Will others accept him? And can he accept himself?
