The New World

The world has been changing, the plates shifting. There has been an increase in tsunamis, tornadoes, hurricanes. But finally, after millions of years, the world finally collapses. The massive Pacific Plate has shifted, causing a 9.8 magnitude earthquake. This earthquake causes the super volcano Toba in Indonesia to erupt. In New York City, where Isaac is celebrating his tenth birthday, the ground starts to shake, the massive, glorious buildings collapsing.
After the horrific events that took place around the world, Isaac, the juvenile delinquent of his family, wakes up eight years later to find himself all alone. New York City has turned into a nightmare. A dense jungle has overcome it, and beasts are haunting the place. With every part of the city transformed and designed to kill, Isaac must face what lies before him. Earth has got along with humans for millions of years, but now, Earth is not playing fair.
