Rain

It was pouring outside. Dark clouds rolling in like the tide. There was the crackle of raindrops against the window railing, soothing Maria's thoughts. The air felt colder, a sharp shrill in her bones which causes her to quiver. The hum from the rain soon replaces the spook from the freezing bite, calming her mind
