Two types of magic divide the world the Tarby family lives in. Mika soon falls under the influence of a evil Puppeteer using 'Human Puppetry', a forbidden branch of Puppetry that is inherently evil, and Milo must make a choice that will forever change his and Mika's life...for better, or for worse. To make matters worse, one of Milo's dolls slowly becomes sentient and bears an inherent want of killing, resulting in yet another complicated relation ship in the formidable tangle that compromises the delicate web of Milo's life.
