The moment Lucy Wilder first locks eyes with the handsome David Morrison, she knows something's off about him. Not that she can blame him though, Lucy herself got a little weird after the terrible accident that changed her life forever. Try explaining to your doctor that you suddenly have superhuman strength and speed, that you are able to hear the thoughts of everyone around you, and, that you have suddenly stopped aging.
But just as she finally finds her new life back on track, David comes along, all mysterious and full of innuendos, threatening to turn everything she once believed in upside down.
What if the world isn't how you always thought it was? If you're in danger without knowing exactly for what - or for who - you have to watch out? Could you trust him who gives you no reason to, and only seems to enjoy your misery? Or do you trust your new best friend, who seems to be carrying a great mystery?
With everything going on, Lucy must choose quickly and wisely between following her heart or her instinct, making sure to trust the right person before it is too late.
After all, being immortal doesn't always make you invincible....
