"Oh I see.. then you have come to the right man. Captain Silver Jones, at your service." And with that he took Elizabeth's right hand and brought it to his lips, brushing them against her skin lightly. Elizabeth never met his gaze and yet she couldn't help but shiver ever so slightly at the touch. Silver let go, and carefully observed Elizabeth. This girl was to board his ship. She did not know it yet, but it's bad luck to have women aboard a pirate ship. The rest of his crew won't have it. She'll need to wear a disguise. A male disguise.

Waveborn by CherylReifsnyder

Cass has no memories of her parents, only impossible dreams of waves and orcas and, sometimes, her mother's voice. When she and her adopted aunt return to the Pacific Northwest island--where her parents died twelve years before--Cass hopes the place will trigger long-buried memories. Instead, she discovers that the impossible is real, and that history is about to repeat itself. Unless she can stop it. ***Teaser*** The water hit with such a shock of cold that Cass thought she was going to pedal up and out of it again like some cartoon character. Instead, she flailed and splashed and smashed one arm against a piling as salt water poured into her raincoat & filled her shoes. "How do you like it?" Jason yelled. She spun until she could make out his form, black against gray sky. "What?" she sputtered. She dragged one arm from the water long enough to shove wet hair from her face. Jason became clearer: black hair dark above his yellow raincoat, arms crossed over his chest. "What the hell are you talking about?" "I asked how you like it, going for a swim in this water." She was open-mouthed with disbelief. It was a bad idea; a surge lifted her and slapped salt water into her mouth. Bile burned her throat as she coughed and all the while she was still flailing at the water, fighting the drag of shoes and clothes to keep afloat. She should kick them off-that's what you were supposed to do if you fell into the ocean with your clothes on-but she was only a dozen feet from the dock. Besides, it was her only coat. Jason watched her the way she'd watch a barracuda. "I know you're following me." "Following you?" What. The. Hell. She gave a mighty kick and tossed her coat onto the dock. Jason just stood there. "I nearly drowned last week, you know that? Now you show up as if nothing happened." "Last week," Cass said slowly, "I was in Argentina." Whatever he'd seen, it wasn't her.

Five Star Reviews for Atlantis Academy: "Omg this book was amazing I couldn't put it down or stop reading. I carried it with me open on my phone while I did everything just to keep reading. I need more of all of this. Epic story, epic content, epic visuals, just epic. LOVE THIS!" "Once I got into this story, I did not stop reading it. This is a beautiful story about a very awkward girl who is riven with so much pain and angst and yet... this makes her who she is and shapes her into the person she will become. The world she finds herself awakened to is magical and yet filled with the all-too-familiar cliques and tribes of the very human people who inhabit it. One word to describe the story: beautiful!" "The story pulls you headlong to the end and leaves you wanting to shout "No! Not yet!" ...If there were 6 stars, I would have given it that." *** Humanity is one secret society away from extinction. The children of Atlantis use magic to keep us safe. If they make it through the Academy. Hi, I'm Lyric. And I'm kind of a mess. ADHD, that's me. The universe has a great sense of humor. I should've listened to the rumors about evil spirits. About the angry, ancient magical creatures haunting our small Oregon Coast town. But did I? No. That was my first mistake. And it might be my last. 'Cause now I'm in a battle for my life. A whole new world has opened up... a magical world I don't understand. And the blood in my veins says I belong here. But I have to prove myself to save myself. And when have I ever done that?

A mysterious castaway. A Scottish hero determined to protect her. Can they survive the storm? Cast adrift on the Indian Ocean, Maria carries a terrible secret. Wherever she goes, death soon follows, and she's powerless to prevent it. William McGregor boarded the SS Trevessa in search of adventure, but he gets more than he bargained for when he saves the mysterious Maria from the sea. She can't tell them her tragic tale, so the superstitious sailors make up their own stories - and some would sacrifice her to the waves to save themselves from the coming storm. When the sharks start circling and the storm closes in, are sirens more than just a myth? A tiny taste of what's in store: My defiance was futile. What did it get me? A small raft drifting across the Indian Ocean, with nothing but the sound of waves and the smell of salt and coal-smoke. Smoke meant a ship. I was saved. I squinted into the sunlight, but the waves hid the vessel from me. Maybe I was looking the wrong way. I didn't have the strength to sit up and see. Rough hands seized me. I struggled, but my weakness won. Blue eyes drifted above, the same colour as the ocean below. A tangle of wiry seaweed obscured the rest of the man's face. "It's all right, lass. I'll take care of you." Darkness took me first. This book has been published and is available wherever you buy good ebooks. The wardrobe was opened. I can't help the tears that are leaving my eyes. I still haven't made any eye contact with them yet. Fear is running rampant. "Look what we have here, boys." He says. GirlxGirl "What are you?" I whispered, my eyes still riveted on her form from where she stood a few feet away from me. Water dripped and rolled off of her skin and the plop, plop of each drop seemed ridiculously loud even over the roar of the sea. Her long lustrous white hair nearly reached her knees and waved slightly in the breeze. Her cerulean blue eyes had darkened to match the sea and a faint glow radiated from them. My eyes fought to stay connected to hers, it was so tempting to look down at her pearly skin that was so fully on display. The silver crown on her head dipped slightly as she lowered her head. "I am yours." Her siren's voice spoke, wrapping me in lyrics that I didn't know the language of but it didn't matter because my body knew the song. When I moved to the beautifully lethal seaside town of Long Beach, Washington, I never expected my whole world to be turned upside down. After a near-drowning three days into our move, my moms (yes I have two moms) are more than reluctant to let me out of their sight. But alas, as a redhead, I never could stay out of trouble for very long. Only the funny thing is, I never expected to be saved by a five hundred year old mermaid princess hell bent on claiming me as her mate. Nor did I expect everything about myself and my heratige to change. Yeah, I made that face too. RIP Kelsey.
