Please if you have not read my first story The Immune (The Walking Dead/Carl Grimes fanfic) go read it before you read this one! 

Eight months after the tragic night that traumatized Casey Jones.  She's was different, no one could look her in the eye.  She stayed silent for a while, only talking when talked to.  She has nightmares every night of that night eight months ago.  She and Carl never talked about what happened before she ran into the woods saving everyones life.

They feel they found a safe place to stay for awhile until trouble comes their way again.  They have to fight and keep Casey alive in hope she will be the cure of this disease.  Loosing and gaining people they still go on.

Even though people they love die, there's one thing that will never die, their love for each other.  Who's going to become closer while others drift apart? Will Casey fall under pressure or stay strong? Or will she watch everyone she loves die?

And she's afraid her immunity is weakening as she goes on. She's heartbroken, embarrassed, infuriated. She feels as if the world isn't the same. All these years she has been able to get through it, but now it's just hell. As if things couldn't get worse, she knows it always will. The Wolves find their way into the walls. Sure, it's easily taken care of; but it's the aftermath she worries about. Something bad is going to happen. It starts with the walls caving in. And it all ends with one man. Leaving the building and stepping into a walker-infested world after losing what's left of her family isn't the easiest thing to do, but she has a new group of people ready to help her. But still, something for the pain would always help, and the boy with the pretty eyes seems like a good enough distraction.
