Part 1 of a three part poem that explores the significance of free will through the perspective of a demon in hell. This poem takes it's inspiration from John Milton's Paradise Lost by adopting it's ideas and themes. I love the pacing, tone, themes and subject matter of Milton's poem and so from that I decided to write a scene that deals with the thoughts of a demon that remains in hell soon after Satan sets course for humanity. I tried to remain somewhat faithful to the style and language of Milton in the hopes of creating the feeling of reading a classic poem, while still making sure it was able to stand on its own. This poem will be followed by 2 more parts. One from the perspective of an Angel, and the second from that of Adam. This part as it is, is complete. The other parts will have the same general pacing but with some differences in tone.
