Phil has fallen in love. That's why he never went out with anyone. One night, Dan wonders why Phil doesn't want to go out. He decides to send a direct message to him, out of laziness from walking to his door to simply ask. For sure, a single question won't affect their friendship, so he went and asked through the message. Phil is confronted with simple question, but it feels like the hardest thing to answer. Dan knows that Phil read it, because of the small check next to the message, but is confused about why Phil keeps typing and deleting, then doing it over and over again. Dan decides to let it slip and allow him to leave it unanswered, but it keeps bothering him and he doesn't seem to know why it is.
(heyllooo guys!! first phanfic, but idk if i want to put some smut so i'll put some if i decide to, okay?)
It does involve around mature content, like suicidal thoughts and self-harm. Not too sure if it's triggering, sorry.
Phil has a massive crush on Dan, and it keeps getting bigger with every passing moment of his life. Phil is always envious when Dan gets in a relationship or he hits on someone, but he's scared to tell him.
Until he finally does.
He didn't get the reaction he expected.
Rejection.
Dan soon realized his mistake, and that in his heart he had something for Phil all along.
