Sixteen year old Nadine knows little about her family. She knows that both her parents played a role in The Hunger Games, she knows that they're both broken, but she doesn't know the whole story. Until one day, a group of Capitol rebels start kidnaping the victors. Katniss and Peeta are both kidnapped. Nadine and Asher, her brother, go to rescue their parents; and, in the trip, they both learn more about their parents and their past than they ever imagined. But if they are to find and rescue Katniss and Peeta, they will have to do unthinkable things and make decisions that may destroy them beyond repair.

Aspen, Katniss and her male counterpart, Peeta, are pitted against bigger, stronger representatives, some of whom have trained for this their whole lives.
