Ever since Dipper returned home, he had found himself missing the Falls more than ever. Not just the falls, however. It was Wendy that his mind and heart were still set on. He began writing letters to her and began receiving some in return. However, he never had one sent back to him for some time and began getting nervous. When the next letter he received bears him horrible news, Dipper is heartbroken and sets off with his sister on a bus trip back to Oregon.
