"SOONER OR later, everyone sits down to a banquet of consequences."
Winter sat mesmerized as she watched Kaos bring the apple he was holding up to his full lips. Her mouth parted in time with his, and her senses exploded as he bit down into the fresh fruit.
"That's a banquet I'd rather not attend," she choked out. Her traitorous throat squeezed shut with desire. How could she feel this way? The man before her should have been anything but attractive. He was evil to the core- The Devil cloaked in an angels skin, swimming in the darkness from his heart that was so wholesome that he was not quite absolute. And yet her palms still sweated and her heart still leapt as she looked at him. Her insides refused to stop squirming with the need to feel him.
Kaos smiled at Winter from across the table. Butterflies immediately errupted from within her. She took a deep breath to steady herself, but even that didn't help her.
"Well darling, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but I believe you're already at your banquet."
He tossed her the apple he bit, the smile on his gorgeous face twisting into something that made her heart race faster.
"Are you ready for your consequences?"
