Nova is an ordinary girl working in a bookshop. She knows that she deserves better, and that's what she gets when she finds a bow tie in the pages of a book. This story is set between the Doctor Who episodes The Angels Take Manhattan and The Snowmen, before the Doctor's period of solitude in Victorian London. -SPOILERS AHEAD-

Sometimes I think it was fate, that the Doctor and I were destined to end up travelling together and other times I remember how close I came to turning down the Doctor’s offer to see all of Time and Space.
