What would you do if you were running from your horrid past, only to find out you were running in circles? Scarlett Beck is a twenty five year old executive assistant, and has been for four years. If you asked her fellow employees she is dependable, sufficient, independent, and B.O.R.I.N.G. If you asked Scarlett herself she would say she is "safe." She has a past just like anyone else, only her past is one that will kill her without a second thought, that is if her pasts catches up to her. So, she does everything in her power to make sure that doesn't happen, even if that means leaving everything she once knew behind and becoming a completely different version of herself. Jamison Nyers, or Jam to some is a thirty two year old executive at Farmington National Bank in Ludwig, Alabama. Only he isn't just an executive though, he is also the President of Midnight Rides Motorcycle Club. Banking keeps a good lock on the more "illegal" things the club has to do. Passed down from generation to generation his MC is one of the few that has been under raps and quite literally the KING of the motorcycle club world. If you asked his fellow employees he is foul-mouthed, womanizing mongrel. If you asked his fellow riders, he is a great President that deserves all the respect he gets on the streets. How can two people who are seemingly so different, who have worked together for the last four years not know anything about each other? What happens when they realize they are more alike then they could ever imagine?

Meet Scarlett Striker, a bold and quirky journalist for the Seattle Times. She's fun, confident, sassy, and just the right amount of weird. Scarlett is determined to rise to the top, no matter what it takes. When her boss offers a golden opportunity to be among the best, Scarlett knows she needs to find a story that will make her career. She's willing to say and do just about anything to get there. But from the moment James Wilson enters the picture, her life takes a dramatic turn-and nothing will ever be the same. Scarlett's POV: "Are you always this infuriating?" he asks, clearly annoyed. I shoot him a glare, my temper flaring. "Depends on who's pissing me off," I snap back, noticing the way his fists clench. Great, now I've gone and poked the bear. "All good. I forgive you," I add quickly, not wanting to push him too far. He scoffs and turns away, unimpressed. God, what an asshole. I know I'm testing him, but I can't help it-I've always been a hothead, especially when someone tries to control me. ----- Meet Elizabeth Casana, a highly regarded executive assistant in New York City. She's smart, a bit of a nerd, and an obsessive cleaner, but she's also confident and never afraid to speak her mind. When she moves to Seattle with Scarlett, she lands a job as Chris Bryant's executive assistant. He's charming, fun, and carefree-but she absolutely cannot fall for him. Little does she know, falling for her boss will be the least of her worries as her past resurfaces and new dangers emerge. Elizabeth's POV: I roll my eyes, but I'm smiling too. "You're such a charmer, Chris. But I'm onto you." "You say that like it's a bad thing." "Not bad," I admit, my hand resting comfortably on his leg. "Just...dangerous." ----- This story gives you two perspectives, alternating each chapter between Scarlett and Elizabeth. Expect a rollercoaster of drama, love, and comedy. P.S. It will get spicy-MATURE CONTENT ahead!
