Tierney Wilkes had the perfect life. She was beautiful, got straight A's, wore the best clothes, drove the cutest car, and had the perfect boyfriend. There was only one problem. She was drowning and no one even noticed. There's only one problem with a fake smile, sometimes it's too good and people can't tell when you're lying.

When Tierney walks in on her boyfriend with another girl she decides she's done. Tierney packs away all of her things and moves in with her dad. She moves from sunny Florida to cold Pennsylvania. Over summer break Tierney rebuilds herself intoa new person, the real her.

Tierney doesn't want to risk anyone getting close enough to hurt her or influence her again so she does all she can to shun any and all human interaction. But, when a select group start to break through her defences, will she allow them in or become a true introvert?
