It's crazy isn't it? You would never think you would have to witness your own family's death, while standing by, helpless. 

Unfortunetly, both Delilah Sheriff and Spencer Deeks had to go through exactly that.

Spencer is new to New Jersey. Delilah is stuck in homeless shelters. Delilah's an outcast, and supreme bullying target. When he finds out why people don't like her, Spencer doesn't quite like that. 

Delilah finds it weird. No one except her closest friends stick up for her. And it irritates her, makes her feel weak. 

Can Delilah learn to trust Spencer enough to let her in on her deepest, darkest, secret? Or will she be too ashamed of being Homeless.
