Not just a girlfriend but the one you never expected to even think about you?

Let's just say it gets worse when you find out that she is not what you think about her.

She tilted her head and her eyes widened acknowledging me. Those warm eyes were shining under the dim lights. I opened my mouth to speak but no words came out. She looked away which surprised me.

"What's your name, sweetheart?"

She looked to the other side as if searching for someone.

I tried again, "How can a beautiful girl like you stay alone here? Dance with me?"

I tried to reach for her hand but a guy slipped a hand on her waist.
