The town of Hibbing, MN is under siege. But by an unlikely enemy. Genetically mutated humans, brought into the world by a mishap in the M.W.A.S (Mid West Association of Science), the science station within Hibbing's walls. An attempt to make a genetically modified human for military purposes, which would make them stronger, faster, more intelligent. But everything goes horribly wrong when there is a break in, and the 'perfect human formula' is unintentionally tested before it is ready. The result, is a nightmare of a human. A zombie. 
   After killing all the scientists, it escapes into the city, throwing the large town in to full-blown apocalypse. It's up to 13 year old Hunter and his friends to save the town of Hibbing, and maybe bring things to the way they were.

However, when Cara surrenders herself, Sheldon learns about the horrifying yet curious vision of these rapidly evolving aliens. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent?
