Deep within the forests of Mirkwood there is a place. A place long since forgotten, where elves no longer venture, and spiders veer away from. The last pure patch of forest, where only light touches, and animals roam free of fear. Isolated in the last remnants of the Greenwood lives a lone elleth, Melethril, with her child, a large brown bear by the name of Daermaethor. For centuries she has lived in harmony, until alas, the patrol of the Elven King Thranduil stumbles across the sanctuary. By order of Legolas, Melethril is taken back to the underground kingdom of the Elven King, where she is the. forced to speak to Thranduil himself. He wants her to stay. But why? A/N: This story is set around the time of The Hobbit trilogy, and is planned to continue through the happenings of all three. Hopefully I can bring something new to the table, and you all will enjoy! (P.S. I don't own any of the characters save for Melthril and Daermaethor. And hopefully my Sindarin isn't too rusty.)
