"How dare you bring me aboard this ship without so much as telling me what you are?" She yelled.

Kincade let out a smug grin, one that infuriated Astryd even more. She took a few more steps toward him so that they were mere feet apart.

He looked down at a doubloon he was holding and slowly turned it over in his hands as he spoke. "I saw a troubled woman in a sailor's pub, obviously hiding from the royal guards. Surely you must have gotten yourself into a sticky situation. And you don't expect me to assume what you are?"

Astryd fumbled for words. What was he getting at?

He lifted his head to look her in the eyes. "You're a thief and now a sailor. You know what that makes you, sweetheart?"

"I am not a..." she shouted, but she stumbled at the last word. She pointed her finger in Kincade's face and whispered, "pirate."

The pirates were walking around, opening drawers and cabinets, and tossing beds. One man approached the wardrobe. I close my eyes and bend down, holding my body as I hug my knees. The wardrobe was opened. I can't help the tears that are leaving my eyes. I still haven't made any eye contact with them yet. Fear is running rampant. "Look what we have here, boys." He says. I watch his feet as he drifts his body away from me to give the three other men a look at me. (1) "A boy" chuckled in amusement. (2) "Perhaps our newest young swabbie." One of them laughed in response. (3) "Young spring, rise up so we can see your face." One of the men said, (2) My body was frozen with fear, and I made no move. "Now young, Swabbie. You may be of use to us yet." (3) I glance at their shoes. Slowly standing, my legs trembling slightly. I wipe my tears with my palms. Then look at the burly men before me. "Come on, wee lass, the captain will surely be missing us." One of them states: (1) I only shake my head no. His smile disappeared within a few moments. I gulp my spit. "Come on, lass, you will be becoming one of us, matey. There is no need to feel frightened." He says it with a blank face. (1) Not edited

"Why are you following me?" She asks annoyed. "I have not been following you." I find myself responding. The girl states, "Yes you have. Don't lie and answer my question." "Okay, fine. You remind me of someone and I was wondering if you could help me." The girl studies me for a moment. I wonder what she will say. This girl seems very annoyed and threatening. "What do you want from me?" I reply, "I am looking for some people so I can bring them back to our village." This is not a lie. "What village are you from?" She questions. "Just a village." Then the girl turns on me and somehow pins me on to the ground. She says, "You're one of them aren't you. You know nothing about this kingdom. What are you a morphling or a fusion?" I am shocked. How did this girl figure me out? Was it that obvious?

Unfortunately, her destiny is quickly approaching. Her father is dead, and her mother has only a couple of months to live according to doctors. All eyes in the castle, and kingdom, turn to Adellia expecting her to step into her mother's shoes. However, both women aren't ready to give up their lives just yet. Wanting to learn more about her kingdom, and the people of it, before she is forced into an arranged marriage and the throne for the rest of her life, Adellia ventures out into the kingdom to do just that. While there, Adellia meets a young blacksmith by the name of Faron and gets sucked into a plot that goes against her, and her mother's wishes. Will she be able to venture into the unknown, and survive out of the watchful eye of the palace? This book has sexual reference and mentions of things that could possibly be triggering to some - e.g. young motherhood and loss of a parent. This work is usually split into two parts, but I have decided to take down the second part, and consider the first part, one book for now, so I can work on the second. When the second part/book has been finished, I'll decide whether I like it as one book or to reincorporate the rest of the book to make it one. Entered in the Wattys(2020)!

Lily's breath caught as he ran it up her leg, she didn't like physical touch. From anyone. So why on Marine, did it feel so good, so right, when he did?

This will take place in the human world where everything is normal as usual. But one day, everything changes with a presented new game that goes world wide. A cellular phone game where anime characters from various series are put together in one place. A game that allows you to gather together your favorite characters to collect. What follows is a battle where special fights are carried out between either two fighters or more. Each side chooses who fights in a battle against each other. Each character has their own sets of abilities to use from and passive abilities that can last throughout the battle. When the battle ends with the victors, the enemy player must relinquish a card of the winner's choice in card. Three years goes by as the game is known by everyone and is funded periodically with more characters that meets the eye of anyone in a specific genre. One day, a man by the name of Samuel Price, picks the game up and begins to play the game one late night. On a night with a raging storm that shakes the whole world and changes his life forever.
