Christian Nightshade could only stare at the beautiful creature before him. He was in awe at the way the animal growled at the bear in front of them.
The bear gave one last growl before turning away. The animal looked at me. It looked mad. I then realised it had red gold eyes. I was scared but at the same time I felt safe.

Christian Nightshade was trespassing and knew he would get in trouble. When a bear shows up he is afraid he will die. When suddenly a creature shows up and protects him. It is smaller than a wolf but not quite a coyote.

Christian thinks he's crazy about the animal. Until he goes to school and sees those red gold eyes. Could this be the creature he is looking for or is it just another human being.
