"Don't move. " He ordered before pulling out a gun. I swallowed hard and closed my eyes. My body automatically started to shake out of fear. I steadied myself and tried to think of a way out of this. How do I get myself into these messes? Why do mothers always have to be right?

He aimed the gun at me. I dove down, trying to take cover behind the flimsy boxes, even though I knew they wouldn't be of much assistance. 

"Please! Please, Don't shoot!" I cried.



What do you do when you find out your father did not just walk out on you? Nova Scott's family is comprised of two people her and her mom but when she finds out that her father did not just leave, as her mother said he did, she has to find out what really happened and nothing can stop her. Not black holes, meteors, crash landings, television worthy Captain's Sons or their snooty girlfriends can keep Nova from the truth because she's going to find her father and get her questions answered whether he's a thousand miles or a thousand lightyears away. She's going to find him no matter what even if she dies trying.
