Nico is angry. Everybody has been trying to make sure that he isn't really well, a Hades child. Because he was a Hades child, everyone was scared of him, like he sent off a bad vibe towards people. Nico then meets her, Erika Anderson. Nico finds hanging out with Erika a different feeling then him hanging out with Percy or Clarisse.

Nico hasn't had an easy life. His father abandoned him, his mother died, and then his sister met the same fate. However, things have recently gotten worse: his boyfriend has turned abusive. After the second war everything starts to go back to normal. Except for Percy, normal is never an option. Annabeth and Percy broke up. Not that Percy was particularly sad about it. After Tartarus Percy wasn't able to feel that connection with Annabeth. He was glad and relieved that they broke up. But then it's like something suddenly snaps and the whole camp turns their back on him. Minus Leo, Nico, will, Thalia, and Rachel.
