People are divided in The Northern States.
You are either Perfect, Normal, or Flawed.
Clarissa is Perfect, but only barely. That upsets her parents, who are both known for their Perfection. With barely adequate mastery at everything, her real passion is physical activity, which she excels at.
West is Normal. Average at pretty much everything, but he has a secret passion: Art. Any kind of visual art on any material.
Kev is Flawed. Involved in gangs, drugs and other unlawful practices, he is not only considered a bad person but also is terrible at practically everything except for fighting and hacking, he slowly brews up a rebellion within the system.
They do not seem to have anything in common, but they do.
And that is the fact all three of them are soon to be in very grave danger.

Before the fall of Earth humanity built a great colony ship, ten thousand of the colonist left Earth for a hundred year journey to Gillespie. They came from all over the Earth leaving a planet knowing they would never see another in their lifetime. The Ark is a rotating cylinder the size of a large island with its own train system. It's divided into three main sections, the city, the framlands, and the Lowers. The people are divided into three groups as well, Uppers, Middles and Lowers. Uppers are made of elite scientist, Astro-crops, bureaucrats they made up about 3% of the population. The Middles are are the farmers, the guard, teachers, doctors, the food processors, clothes makers and of course the mechanical maintenance workers. They make-up the 97% of the 10,000 counted citizens. The lowers are criminals and children born to un-paired parents. They live separated from the middles and Upper. In lowers you work in water reclamation or in one of the fish farms that supply protein to the ship. In the year 2149 Dylan De Rovia is trying to wrap her head around the idea that in two year's she'll be paired. That they call marriage on the Ark. Pairing is good most who are paired do end-up staying together because while genetics play good part in determining a match so does personality. Some people choose to use spend this time having a good time with as many partners as possible. Dylan however, vowed that she would never fall in love with anyone before pairing. The universe had other plans however, when Dylan learns that she'll pair with an Upper named Kyive Sinclar life gets more complicated than ever. In a dystopian world where society has long since evolved to perfection, those born are given an examination test to see if they pass the biological and innate requirements for living in the perfect society. Those who fail are luckily given a second chance to prove themselves, where they are allowed to be raised in dorms that are ostracized from the rest of society. They have eighteen years as they live with six other girls, separated into dorms and ages and gender. Kenna is sixteen, two more years from becoming eighteen where she will be retested to see if she can go back to living into the perfect society and find her place once again. Although her best friend, Lina, has mysteriously betrayed her for unknown reasons, where she is sent away to the Adjustment Center, a place that seems doomed for failure where everyone who has broken the rules are casted out to... His grandpa is the only one who knows everything about him, but when he gets really sick and passes away, Clay's life completely collapses. To regain his control, he starts developing obsessive behaviour, getting so bad that it turns into OCD. The control he tried to regain gets lost even further with the day. But when the only place, his sport, he finds peace also gets ruined by bullies and his OCD, George is suddenly there to stick up for him when everyone else isn't.
