Demons have attacked the world. A few countries, including Austria and Japan, are left. Only a few million people are still alive.
The mother goddess, San, grants some young girls magical powers in exchange for fighting the demons in their lairs. These girls, the Warriors, can transform into a new self-new outfit and weapons. They are either chosen or they sign up.
One such girl is Tomoe Miyoshi. After losing the use of her legs in an accident, she longs to fight but believes herself to be unable due to her disability. However, after a dare from her friends, she signs up and does become the Warrior who couldn't walk.
