This takes place after Zoey leaked the audio to the whole school. All she wanted, and expected was for Jake to be bullied and brought back to what happened in Middle School. What she didn't want was for someone to be so angry at him that they nearly killed him. Yeah, it backfired. Any spelling errors that are found in text messages will stay there, because they aren't narration, and people can make spelling mistakes. Yes, I know Zoey didn't go to the same middle school as Jake. But I just want her to know for story purposes. I probably made Zander a little bit too kind, but it fits with the story.Almost all of the characters act completely different to how they would act in cannon. So... Sorry?

I think that's why we're still trying so desperately to get back to some sort of normalcy. Four years later and we're still on the ground, crawling, in search of the happiness that was lost that June. Summers will never be the same. Midnight walks through my neighborhood will never be the same. Field parties with bonfires and loud music will never be the same. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of. Lindsay goes through a lot of difficult situations from her mom's boyfriend, to her friend's dad, to her mom moving, to her moving with dad, to moving schools, to transferring back and losing one of her best friends. Lindsay begins to lose hope, and she begins to get really depressed to the point she feels like suicide is all that's left. She turns to drugs, alcohol, and self-harm. Feeling as if no one cares, she begins to plan her suicide. She does fine in school in hopes that it will keep the attention away from her actions. Coming to the end of sophomore year, she begins to see what's good about life as she promises Dr. Barns, and Mrs. Gibson gives her reason and inspiration. ---------------------- ❗️Not all events in this story are true.
