A 16 year old girl named Bella, has only two days until her birthday when she finds her house burned and her memories the only thing left of her mother. When Bella remembers her brothers last words, "Bella, you are the Angel of the ocean." While at the time she figures he was referring to her excellent ability to swim, she starts to think there was more to his words than she expected. Through all of this, the only one she has is Jacob. Who she discovers feelings for him she never knew she had.
