Panicked and scared Elisa Lockhart runs away right after her family is brutally murdered. But while running from the killer she finds herself in the middle of the woods, and even there she's not safe.
With no memory of the event other than a pair of red eyes that haunt her dreams, she decides to rely on a group of supernatural creatures to get out of the forest alive. But things are a lot more complicated and Elisa soon discovers things she never thought could be possible. Ultimately finding herself trapped into a reality where she can trust only her instincts.
But as time ticks by, the darkness starts to loom over her, controlling and overbearing. Elisa has to gain back control of everything before it's too late, but everything comes at a price. And she's not sure she's ready to pay.
