It all started with an invitation. You wouldn't think that something like an invitation would be life-changing, you know, but, of course, it's always those little things that tend to affect you more than you'd expect. It wasn't simply an invitation: It was the invitation. I, Lily Brooks, never saw this coming. Someone like me couldn't have received the invitation. I mean, me? I wasn't one of those people-Anyways, after struggling with the neat and ridiculously clean envelope, I came upon the detailed letter that I knew would be life-changing, just not in the way I expected.
