I come to you on my hands and knees I don't know who you are I don't even really know what I'm doing here I think I'm here to ask for something Maybe forgiveness I must have perpetrated many wrongs in my lifetime Maybe even before For me to come to you Hands peeling Knees scraped and bleeding Soul charred and cracked open At least there is warmth The embers through the charring Paper fine lines of light They're why I can crawl at all
