Little does he know that his life will forever change when the dastardly Lord Bowser, king of the koopas, interrupts the banquet at Castle Toadstool to steal the Mushroom Kingdom's most treasured artifacts, the Power Stars, and one of the stars chooses Mario as the one and only person able to stop Bowser's evil plans before they come to light.
