A sick girl, who doesn't know it yet, runs into Ashton one day. He's a depressed college boy and hates being the person he is.
Ashton and the sick girl, Ophelia, hit it off pretty well. But a short sentence from the doctor flips the entire world upside down. At least, that's how the two felt at the time. And that's exactly what Ashton and Ophelia didn't need in this relationship.
Ophelia had a devastating case. But the thing is, the couple of them didn't need their minds to continue falling in love with one another.
What they needed were their hearts.

This is a depressing fanfiction about Ashton Irwin and an original female character. Hey, I'm Maya and this is my first time putting any of my writing online. It feels pretty strange considering how personal this story is, and before you start reading there's a few things I want to clarify. 1. Yes, I used my own name for the main character. Why? Because I'm shit at coming up with names. 2. This story starts around the time Youngblood was released, and for a while the timelines and everything actually add up (the dates used in the story actually match where the boys were at the time). However in later sections that kind of goes to shit so...know you know. 3. This story addresses some tough subject matter. You've been warned. If you at any point feel upset, stop reading. 4.
