Well, I've finally conformed and stooped down to a lower level and begun to write a Death Note x reader story, wooooow!
NOTE: NOT A LEMON
It's the middle of the Kira case and you couldn't care less. You do some tech work, gather information and take people out for L, you do anything he needs to scrape together a little cash for yourself. It doesn't matter, it's all child's play compared to the extent of your abilities. All you want to do is play games and survive this stupid case.
You're top of all the leaderboards on all of the many games you play, except for one, where a player by the name of Mail takes your place on 1st. They start to climb all of the leaderboards and constantly challenge you, distracting you from your work.
Time passes and you start to get attached to Mail, but can you really be falling for one of your biggest competitors?
Who really is Mail? Why are they so content on taking your place on top? Will L notice the change in you? More importantly, will you survive the Kira case?

L Lawliet, worlds greatest detective and possibly the smartest person alive... can't talk. Well, he can, but only to those he's deeply connected with. Partially mute, he hides behind his screen and solves crimes anonymously. Speaking to taskforces with text to speech, and no face shown. Until he's pushed into a corner with a particularly tricky case, and ends up having to make his first face to face interaction.
