Sapphire is the daughter of Blue Diamond and thus, is the heir to the Blue Diamond Kingdom of the east. However she is fatally ill, and her only wish was live her remaining days in happiness and away from the kingdom. Her original assigned body guard had retreated back into her gem and was to be crushed for failing to protect her from a treacherous group who called themselves the Crystal Gems. So a new body guard was assigned to her, one that went by the name of Ruby.

The Strange Gem ( Gem!Reader x Steven Universe Various)
VERY VERY VERY VERY SLOW UPDATES! Many years ago, a gem emerged on the homeworld near the diamond palace. Pink, being the first one to recognize a gem emerging, told the other 3 diamonds about the information. As all four of them watched the new gem merge, it was discovered that the gem was born with two gems instead of one. Instead of shattering the gem, white diamond decided to keep them as they were a rare cut gem with an abnormal two gems instead of one. After the discovery, they decided to name the gem, Y/N. Y/N soon lived underneath the Diamonds and was treated as if she was a diamond herself. After Pink shattered, Y/N was heavily protected and had a harness around her at all times, always around either the diamonds or heavily guarded by two topazes and a jasper. After being allowed to roam around the Gem Warship, she was stopped by Steven who convinced her to help him find his friends and escape. After the explosion, she was founded by The Crystal Gems and was officially their 'hostage'. From being heavily guarded and kept within eyes sight and inside her whole life into being outside and experiencing many different emotions for the first time. This is when her story begins.

Consequences
Steven, Homeworld, Danger... Diamonds... Those words don't sound too comforting together, right? Who said this was a comforting story? For Steven and the gems, things finally don't go right. When Steven is separated from Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl during the attempt to retrieve his father from the zoo, he is found, and quickly identified as a rose quartz gem... and not just any, but the rebellion leader's own son. Blue and Yellow Diamond create a master plan to finally eliminate the Crystal Gems, and Steven is the key to doing so. All they have to do is play a game of emotions, and things will soon fall into their hands, due to a very unlikely snitch. Will Steven be able to resist the Diamonds and escape, or will Steven's Universe crumple because of himself? (Rated T, to be on the completely safe side, but I seriously doubt there will be anything too bad in my fanfiction, as I am trying to make it as close to the style of the show as possible! Sapphire Tiffens an 18 year old young adult, who lost her father at the age of 10, due to a homicide. After the loss of her father, she has a drunk for a mom, who could not get over the fact of losing her husband and always felt insecure of her husbands love. Ever since the death of her father, who was the only one that showed her parental love, sapphire was forced to live 8 years of her life in guilt, agony, depression and pain having a mom who made her life miserable and never showed her love or affection. She was driven by depression to commit suicide, but was saved by Erick Thompson a 24 year old successful career man, who is a big shot and runs his retired fathers company. Erick an adopted son of his big shot parents, who has lived his life trying to be the perfect son, knowing fully well they are not his parents. The two meet and bond and begin to feel emotions for each other, as Erick tries bringing Sapphire out of depression, he begins to feel love towards her and she does too. But she constantly denies the fact of falling in love, considering that she only feels Erick has pity for her, and looks down on her. Will the two of them be able to realise their love towards each other? And be able to fight away the depression, and every other obstacle that comes between them?
