Jayla Simmons has a bright future ahead of her as she is about to begin her first semester at California State university in Los Angeles. Jayla is from the city of Boston, were she lived most of her life. She has never been away from home for about more than a week, she is taking a brave step and moving across the country to start her new life. Jayla is excited, enthusiastic and nervous at the same time. Being the only child her parents has, Jayla is there pride and joy so she doesn't want to be a cliché and disappoint them. She is going to LA with a determined mindset to focus on her studies and to avoid major distractions.
However, Klay Evans is a 6ft greek god, captain of the college basketball team, a people's person. Klay is respected among his peers and has a way with the ladies. Klay has a soft spot for his mother and two little sisters whom he left back home in Atlanta. Raised only by his mom, klay is striving to succeed to be able to take care of his family. Determined not to follow in his father footsteps of being a dead-beat, klay is hoping to go pro and achieve his goal.
