I'm not really sure where I'm going with this story. So bear with me here :)
Anyways this story takes place in modern times about 2000 years after the death of Arthur Pendragon and Merlin is paying homage to the death of his king on the anniversary of his death at the lake of Avalon. As Merlin is remembering the time that he had spent with his beloved king, something happens that causes him to forget the heart numbing loneliness that he had been feeling.
Ps. I haven't really decided how far I want to take this story. Or what might happen. There might even be a little Merther action *wink wink*

This is a fanfiction about Merlin. Arthur and merlin were just on a hunting trip when bandits kidnapped merlin. Arthur is devastated. He is willing to do anything to get merlin back. But then a army attacked Camelot. Merlin isn't himself and he puts the one he loved in danger. Arthur has to stop merlin but how? this is after season 5 but with a different ending and Arthur doesn't know merlin has magic. It's about how merlin turned against Arthur. I got the inspiration for this story from a similar oneshot on Fanfiction.net by Aeon The Dimensional Girl if the user wishes for me to take this one down I will, however I will point out that I expanded on the concept and definitely made it my own. Originally gonna be a one shot, but ended up being too long for a one shot. Merlin returns to Camelot after Arthur dies and gets banished by Gwen. He goes to sit by the lake of Avalon to wait for Arthur. Eventually Arthur returns. Merlin is not immortal in this version, however he is still extremely powerful. This is about their life together.
