My name is Melody Winston, and I'm a Greaser living in the 1960's. Life isn't easy for us. The Socs are always jumpin' us and pickin' fights. My brother, Dallas "Dally" Winston, and I know this better than anyone. We grew up in NYC where the rule was become a hood, or die. Life gets worse for me when my two best friends kill a Socs and flee to Windrixville and I decide to go with them.
